Where equestrian elegance meets the artistry of wood and acrylic

Two distinct methods are typically used to create my equestrian art, each deeply connected to the natural world. The first method involves sculpting with wood sourced directly from the forest, such as gorse wood and heart oak. The slow, meticulous process of working with these unique materials allows the natural beauty of the wood to shape the final piece, giving each sculpture a sense of life and movement. The grain, texture, and form of the wood bring a timeless, organic quality to the artwork, capturing the spirit of the horse in a way that feels both natural and profound.

The second method is through contemporary fine art painting, where I bring the elegance and power of living things to life on different mediums using acrylics, pastels and gold/copper leafing. This approach allows for bold expression and rich detail, capturing the essence and personality of each equine subject. Both methods reflect my passion for horses and the natural world, offering two powerful ways to celebrate the beauty and grace of these magnificent creatures.
